Sonny is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. Sonny also has his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University, and was a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service and the Food & Drug Administration for 22 years prior to retiring from active duty. He also has experience owning and operating a family business in the education space.
In his encore career Sonny chose to specialize in his passion for financial planning. His medical background along with his passion for financial planning and educating clients on personal finance topics help him see perspective on clients healthcare costs and finances of aging. In addition, Sonny specializes in federal government and military benefits.
Sonny was born and raised in the DC metro area and currently resides with his wife and daughter in Northern Virginia. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, whitewater rafting, watching NFL football, and reading on investing topics.
